'My son's ophthalmologist wanted to pass on word that your screening was a "good catch". He normally doesn't get these referrals until assessment at Kindergarten, but was pleased to see that the assessment was done [in preschool] and that it prompted our action to get him in for an appointment. He will, indeed, need glasses mainly for correction in his left eye. He has amblyopia and astigmatism. He was 3 levels down in reading chart so it was significant. There was nothing to indicate to us that he needed correction. So, thank you for catching this as we are happy to be able to get him into glasses now rather than wait a couple years until Kindergarten. I think it will make his learning behavior much richer. Thank you!'

...I thought you might like to know what was reported at our house yesterday. Nash came home so enthusiastic about the "AWESOME games" he got to play "upstairs at school". He went on and on to both me and then again to daddy after work about how he got to wear pirate glasses!!!! (both left and right kinds!) AND played a game where he raised his hand "so high!" when he heard a beep. His enthusiasm while recanting the experience was almost comical - it was certainly unprecedented.
